Minnesota. <br />Mr. Grif~is requested rezon1ng of this ~rea from R 2 to Industrial. <br />After much discussion by the Council and the Planning Committee. during <br />which the undesirable appea~ance of the present site of Griffis. Inco <br />was mentioned. Mr. Buetow s"F~eBted to the Council that a more desirable <br />business - for tax purposes' and general appearance, would be more bene- <br />ficial to the' village. and. also, a precedent would be set by approving <br />this to encourAge more of this type of 1ndustry. <br /> <br />Referred to the Zoning and PlanD1ng Committee to confer with the Village <br />of New Brighton concerning the future Of the area across Freeway 35W <br />which belongs to said villar-e. <br /> <br />Referred to IIlr.
