Objective 7: Protect and enhance fish and wildlife habitat and water <br /> recreational facilities. <br /> Policies: Coordinate with counties and municipalities to enhance water- <br /> based recreation. <br /> Buffer zones of natural vegetation shall be maintained around <br /> ponds and wetlands as much as possible. <br /> Coordinate with the Department of Natural Resources to <br /> protect rare and endangered species. <br /> Coordinate with the Department of Natural Resources to <br /> enhance fish and wildlife habitats. <br /> Objective 8: Secure the other benefits associated with the proper <br /> management of surface and groundwater. <br /> Policies: The programs and standards of this plan shall be implemented. <br /> The policies presented above were compiled from various sources including <br /> the Rice Creek Watershed District, Water Resource Management Plan and the <br /> published policies of other communities in the general area of Arden Hills. <br /> . <br />
