.. .
.-.A. Gary Berger
January 2, 1992
- Page 2
-
The unverified application of st. Mary's Romanian Orthodox
Church for a premises permit renewal indicates, in the column
marked "A.H. trade area II, that $5500.00 was expended for religious
programs benefitting people who reside within the City's trade
area. At the Council Meeting of December 30, 1991, a church
representative indicated that this expenditure was for the Pastor's
salary. Although the expenditure appears to be for a lawful
purpose consistent with MS 349.12 Subd. 25(a)(1) or MS 349.12 Subd.
25(a)(1l), it is not for a lawful purpose conducted or located
within the City's defined trade area.
The unverified application of St. Paul Turner's Gymnastics
Society for a premises permit renewal indicates, on pages entitled
"Arden Hills Benefits Worksheet" a total expenditure of $42,322.32
($33,231.00 for wages of trade area residents and $9,091.32 for
tuition subsidies of trade area residents) within the trade area.
None of these expenditures appear to be for a lawful purpose
conducted or located within the City's defined trade area.
If you have any questions, please contact me.
- Very truly yours,
JPF:bap
Enc.
---
e
.-
