Malone moved, seconded by Hicks, to direct the Clerk Administrator to proceed with arbitration relating to the grievance filed. Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) SCHEDULE MIG; Malone moved, seconded by Growe, to schedule a Special DISC. STATUS Infornational Meeting on Thursday, January 30, 1992, OF SIOOE AVE. at 6:00 p.m., to discuss the status of the ill1provernent IMPROVEMENl' of stowe Avenue with residents in this area. Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) DISC; OOOR Council1nember Hicks questioned the expenditure related BOARD EXPENDITURE to the city participation in the New Brighton Odor FOR RENDERING Board for the rendering plant. Council discussed the necessity of continued participation in the costs related to the New Brighton rendering plant and noted this matter was discussed at a previous meeting in 1991. Council con=ed to direct staff to review previous Council minutes relating to . the time-frame for the City of Arden Hills participation in the payment of legal fees f= the Odor Control Board, prior to payment of the =ent statement from the City of New Brighton. REPaRI'; LJVFD Council1nember Malone reported on the LJVFD Pension PENSION Mm. Association meeting. ZEDS SIGN Council1nember Malone noted the Zeos sign displayed the time and terrperature during the last week and appeared to be in compliance with the Sign Ordinance. He further advised that on the weekend the sign displayed words and appeared to be "flashing", which is not in compliance with the Ordinance. Att=ney Filla explained the business was issued a citation for violation of the Sign Ordinance and the court appearance was delayed; if the sign is not brought into compliance, Zeos should be advised the city will pursue the court appearance . ODOR PROBLEM; Council1nember Growe questioned the status of the HaInline HAMLINE AVE. Avenue o.:l.or problem. Clerk Administrator Berger advised he has not been able to contact the Engineer in Wooclb.lry to discuss this matter. Growe requested the Administrator report on this matter at a future meeting. . CITY NEWSLEITER Council1nember Mahowald questioned the status of the City Newsletter and scheduled publication date. Clerk Administrator Berger explained the staff has met with Grant Pound to discuss the format and schedule for printing the newsletter. He advised a report on this meeting will be forwarded to Council.
