In=ease water rates $.44/1000 gallons beginning April 1; 1992 <br /> (This is a 35 percent in=ease). <br /> 2. In=ease sewer rates $.84/1000 gallons beginning April 1, 1992 <br /> (This is a 50 percent in=ease). <br /> 3. In=eases should be put into effect in a lump sum rather than a 2- <br /> step process. <br /> . 4. Continue seni= /disabled discount. <br /> 5. During 1992, have the Finance Committee review the cash <br /> requirements and suggest appropriate cash balance levels to the <br /> Council. <br /> 6. Finance Committee should review water and sewer rates annually and <br /> make reconnnendations which will allow for a January 1 <br /> implementation if a rate in=ease is needed. <br /> 7. The Council pursue various issues with the Metropolitan Waste <br /> Control Commission (MWCC). <br /> water utility - <br /> The utilities SUbcommittee reconunends to Council to consider in=easing <br /> water utility rates by $.44/1000 gallons beginning with the second <br /> quarter of 1992. The current charge for water is $1.27/1000 gallons. <br /> The current rni.n:irnum charge for water is $14.50 per quarter. The <br /> proposed $.44/1000 gallons in=ease, would in=ease these numbers to <br /> $1. 71/1000 gallons and $19.58 per quarter for the rni.n:irnum charge. An <br /> individual paying the minimum charge would pay an additional $5.08 per <br /> quarter or $20.32 per year. <br /> . <br />
