See <br /> Attachment B. Based on projections with the 25/25 percent in=ease in <br /> sewer rates, the projected loss for 1992 would be $115,345. For 1993, <br /> there would be a projected income of $32,746. <br /> Again, due to compounding, the 1993 rate using the two step in=ease <br /> ($24.41 seniors, $48.80 residential and $2.63/1000 gallons for all <br /> others), all would be at a higher rate than if the one step in=ease was <br /> implemented ($23.43 seniors, $46.85 residential and $2.52/1000 gallons <br /> for all others). <br /> What does Option B mean to the customers in dollar figures? For <br /> seniors, there would be an additional $3.91/quarter or $11.73 for three <br /> quarters in 1992 and also another $4.88/quarter or $19.52 per year more <br /> in 1993. OVerall, seniors would pay an additional $73.26 during the 2 <br /> year period using the two step process as compared to $54. 67 using the <br /> one step method. <br /> Residential customers under Option B would pay an additional <br /> $7.81/quarter or $23.43 for three quarters during 1992 and also another <br /> $9.76/quarter or $39.04 per year more in 1993. OVerall, residential <br /> . customers would pay an additional $146.42 during the two year period <br /> using the two step process as compared to $109.34 using the one step <br /> method. <br /> For non-residential customers under Option B, there would be an <br /> additional $.42/1000 gallons in 1992 and another $.53/1000 gallons in <br /> 1993. OVerall, non-residential customers would pay an additional <br /> $1.37/1000 gallons during the two year period using the two step process <br /> as cornpared to $.84/1000 gallons using the one step process. <br /> Under Option B, the sewer fund would experience a projected cash deficit <br /> of approximately $15,000 in 1992. This would reduce the cash <br /> equivalents balance to approximately $385,000 at the end of 1992. <br /> A final option, Option C, is shown in Attachment C for the sewer fund. <br /> This option shows the impact of a 35 percent in=ease at April 1, 1992 <br /> and an additional 15 percent in=ease at January 1, 1993. Based upon <br /> projections with the 35/15 percent in=ease in sewer rates, the <br /> projected loss for 1992 would be $73,811. F= 1993, there would be a <br /> projected income of $33,777. <br /> Once again, due to compounding, the 1993 rate using the two step <br /> increase ($24.25 seniors, $48.48 residential and $2.61/1000 gallons for <br /> all others), all would be at a higher rate than if the one step in=ease <br /> was implemented ($23.43 seniors, $46.85 residential and $2.52/1000 <br /> . gallons for all others). <br />
