I am pleased to invite you to the Regional <br /> Transit Board's Grand Opening of the Rosedale Transit Hub. Transit hubs playa key role <br /> in the RTB's development of its Vision for Transit. <br /> Transit hubs are focal points for suburban and regular route service to intersect. The <br /> Rosedale Transit Hub is one of the fIrst fully functional transit huus in the region. The <br /> RTB would like you to come and see how this exciting concept works. <br /> The Grand Opening is Thursday, March 12 at 11:30 at the <br /> Rosedale Transit Hub which is located just outside of Carson <br /> Pirie Scott at Rosedale. (see enclosed map) <br /> We will gather right next to the new shelter. In case of rain, we will gather on first floor in <br /> Carson's Court inside Rosedale. Here's a preview of the program: <br /> . Welcome: Joanne Cushman, Roseville City Council <br /> Featured Speakers: Representative Mary Jo McGuire <br /> Representative Don Valento <br /> Todd Paulson, Chair, Metropclitan Transit Commission <br /> Hub Demonstration and Tour <br /> You will then be invited to tour the hub and see how the transit services connect. Transit <br /> hubs are the anchor of the RTB's Vision forTransit, so it would be benefIcial for you to <br /> come out and see one in operation. The Rosedale Transit Hub and the Roseville Area <br /> Circulator will serve as prototypes for other hubs and circulators in other parts of the <br /> seven-county metro area. MTC service will also connect to hubs and plays an integral role <br /> in the success of the hub program. <br /> I hope to see you on the 12th!
