<br />. - -it/iI.;lrllll 00""'"00 "G'''''' <br /> Maier Stewart & Associates Inc. <br /> MEMO TO: HONORABLE MAYOR & CITY COUNCIL <br /> FROM: MARK GRAHAM <br /> RE: KEITHSON AREA POND IMPROVEMENTS <br /> DATE: MARCH 5, 1992 <br /> FILE NO: 520-029-20 <br /> The pUblic hearing for the Keithson Area Pond Improvements is scheduled <br /> for the March 9, 1992 City Council meeting. <br /> Following discussion at the February lO, 1992 City Council meeting, we met <br /> with residents along Keithson Drive who have properties directly affected <br /> by construction. This meeting was arranged so that both the residents and <br /> City staff would have a clear understanding of the work to be <br />. accomplished. The homeowners raised issues previously not discussed, such <br /> as reconfiguring the pond outlet to save t~ees and the storm sewer outlet <br /> pipe from Keithson Drive. We have also met with City Attorney Jerry <br /> Filla, City Planner John Bergley, and Mr. Blake Davis to discuss easement <br /> acquisition modifications from Mr. George Reiling's property. These <br /> modifications include reducing the size of the easement and constructing <br /> the project to avoid impacts on future lots that may be developed. <br /> Based on discussions with the above listed people, the scope of work for <br /> this project must be expanded to include additional grading of the pond <br /> and modification of the plans. While the additional work is not major and <br /> does not significantly change the scope of the project, City Attorney <br /> Filla has indicated that rebidding of the project is warranted since work <br /> is being altered from the present plans.
