Iago, 1lcting Clerk 1ldmini.strator ~ <br /> stJBJEX:T : Request to Review Existing sign ordinance RegUlations <br /> In an atterrpt to clarify the existing sign ordinance regulations as they <br /> relate to the Zeos sign, Council requested the Planning Connnission <br /> review the changeable =py regulations in the current sign ordinance. <br /> The Planning Connnission appointed a subcoounittee to study the changeable <br /> =py portion of the ordinance and during this process, it became <br /> apparent there is a definite need to update the existing language and <br /> definitions in the sign ordinance. <br /> Attached is a letter from the Planning SUbcommittee requesting <br /> authorization to review the sign ordinance in its entirety, beginning <br /> . immediately, with a target date of May, 1992, for completion. <br /> RE:C:U1MENDATION: <br /> It would be my recorrunendation that a review of the entire sign ordinance <br /> be =nducted at this time in =njunction with the zoning ordinance <br /> revisions. I would further reconnnend that Council authorize 'an <br /> expenditure of approxilllately $1,500 to $2,000 for the =mmittee to <br /> utilize Planner Bergly's time for this project. <br /> ACI'ION REOUIRED: <br /> If Council =ncurs, they should pass a motion approving the request to <br /> review the entire sign ordinance and authorize an expenditure not to <br /> exceed $2,000 for this project. <br /> CJI/ts <br /> M92-110 <br /> . <br />
