Attached is a letter from the Regional Transit Board (RI'B) dated April <br /> 7. 'Ihe Regional Transit Board is requesting Council =nsider the <br /> proposed expansion of the new Roseville area circulator route to serve <br /> the City of Arden Hills throughout the clay by providing transit service <br /> to the Rosedale Shopping Center f= Bethel College, Johanna Shores, and <br /> City residents. (See attached map). <br /> Implementation of this route may increase Arden Hills transit tax levy, <br /> as outlined in the last paragraph on Page 2 of the Regional Transit <br /> Board letter. Len Simich of the Regional Transit Board will be present <br />. to make a presentation regarding this matter and answer any questions. <br /> It appears that RI'B is planning to implement this and other changes in <br /> JUly, 1992. <br /> F= your infonnation, I received a telephone call from a parent of a <br /> Bethel College student favoring the proposed transit service and <br /> indicating that other residents favor this service. <br /> RE:CXMillIDATION: <br /> At this time, I believe it would be preferable to hear the RI'B <br /> presentation prior to making a recommendation on this item. <br /> ACrION RroUIRED: <br /> Council may wish to review the proposal in further detail after the <br /> presentation and delay =nsideration of this item to a. future meeting or <br /> take action to implement service at this time. <br /> CJI/ts <br /> Attachments <br /> M92-127 <br />. <br />-"-- <br />
