Iago, 1\Ctinq Clerk 1\dmini.strator .~-- <br /> SUBJECT: Authorization to Contract with BRW Architects, Inc. <br /> for Phase I of the city Hall Project <br /> Over the past several months, Council and staff have reviewed RFP' s from <br /> over 60 architectural firms and selected the 4 firms listed below to <br /> interview in conjunction with the proposed city Hall project: <br /> Lindberg pierce, Inc. <br /> BRW Architects, Inc. <br /> BWBR Architects <br /> Bonestroo, Rosene, & Ander1ik <br /> After interviewing the 4 firms, Council concurred that BWBR and BRW <br /> Architects would be the final 2 candidates and requested staff to <br /> . conduct reference checks on both firms. <br /> At the regular worksession meeting on April 20, staff reported on the <br /> reference checks for both candidates. Council concurred that BRW <br /> Architects, Inc. would be selected as the architectural firm and <br /> directed staff to prepare d=urnentation for official action at the <br /> regular Council meeting held April 27, 1992. <br /> AC1'ION REl)UIREl): <br /> It is necessary for Council to adopt a motion acknowledging that after a <br /> lengthy selection process, BRW Architects, Inc. is the unanimous <br /> selection to proceed with Phase I of the New city Hall and Maintenance <br /> Facilities Project, pending sul::mission of appropriate contract <br /> d=nentation f= review and approval by the City Attorney.
