<br /> . <br />. <br />. -2- <br /> We anticipate receiving a great deal of assistance from the acting City <br /> Administrator in developing information about the community, the organization, <br /> and the position. It would be our intention to meet with the Council and staff <br /> to more appropriately assess the acceptable management style and determine <br /> some community priorities which will be the primary responsibility of the new <br /> City Administrator. <br /> Estimated hours: 8-12 <br /> Phase II Conduct direct recruiting of individuals who may be qualified and interested in <br /> the position. We will screen the resumes of those wbo are interested and <br /> conduct both personal and telephone recruiting of candidates. We will screen <br /> the number of candidates to approximately 10-12 and then further reduce that <br /> number to 5-7 to be presented to the City Council. We will provide a summary <br /> of these preferred candidates in the form of a Progress Report, present that <br /> report to the City Council and participate in the discussion and selection of <br /> candidates for interviewing. <br /> Estimated hours: 20-25 <br />. Phase III <br /> After reviewing the Progress Report with the Council and selecting the number <br /> of candidates, we will conduct background and reference checks on the <br /> candidates to be interviewed. We will provide the City Council with questions <br /> to ask the candidates and an evaluation form associated with the questions and <br /> the Position Profile. <br /> Estimated hours: 6-8 <br /> The total estimate of hours for the above work should not exceed 40-45. Should the Council <br /> ask us to participate in the interview process, coordinate the interviews, arrange meetings with <br /> candidates, or other related activities, this would be at the direction of the City Council. In <br /> addition, should the Council ask us to negotiate the compensation package with the preferred <br /> candidate, this would require additional hours. <br /> The rate is $110 per hour plus expenses. The Brimeyer Group charges for normal expenses <br /> including mileage; meals; courier services; long distance telephone; conducting credit, <br /> education, and criminal checks; copies and miscellaneous expenses. It is expected expenses for <br /> this assignment will not exceed $100-$200. <br />. <br /> ---- <br />
