CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> MEHIU\NDUM <br /> Il1d'E : June 4, 1992 <br /> TO: Mayor and City COtmcil. <br /> ,{'"/' <br /> I' <br /> FRCM: John Buckley, Parks & Recreation Director') <br /> SUBJECT: Change order for Hazelnut Park Trail Project <br /> In conjunction with the Hazelnut Park Trail Project, there are areas <br /> that could be paved to enhance this trail system; these include a 150 ft <br /> section of trail to connect Prior Ave to the Hazelnut trail loop, and a <br /> 100 ft section of roadway in the park which joins the tennis court and <br /> play structure. <br /> Bituminous Construction Company has indicated a willingness to do the <br /> additional work at the same rate quoted in the CUmmings Trail bid. <br /> since excess materials were not removed from the CUmmings Trail project, <br /> the City realized a $960 cost savings. Additional costs for the <br /> . enhancements proposed above should not exceed $1,500, and the original <br /> contract for the CUmmings Trail improvement was bid at $21,321.90, which <br /> is a $3,000 savings from the bJdgeted amount of $26,523. <br /> RE:CCJ>lMENDATION : <br /> If Council concurs, they should pass a motion under Consent to approve <br /> Change Order No.1 in the amount of $1,500.00, f= a total contract cost <br /> $22,821.90 for the completion of the Hazelnut Park Trail Improvement <br /> Project with the enhancements outlined. <br /> - JB:rk <br /> . <br />
