Iage, 1\cting Clerk 1\dmini.strator <br /> FRGf.@ Terry Post, Tarq;lOrary city Accountant <br /> SUBJECT: Mail Inserts with second QUarter 1992 utility Billings <br /> TWo inserts (see below) will be miled with the second quarter utility <br /> billings next Monday. <br /> 'Ihe "Special Notice" pertains to advising residents in advance of the <br /> additional fee for the drinking water testing program that will be <br /> inposed beginning third quarter 1992. <br /> The "reminder" pertains to alerting residents of the certification <br /> penalty for delirquent utility payments and reminding seniors and <br /> disabled citizens about irquiring into possible utility discounts. <br /> . REMINDER <br /> NOTICE OF PENALTY FOR UNPAID UTILITIES <br /> Unpaid utility billings from second quarter 1992 and earlier, which are not <br /> received by September 30, 1992, will be certified to Ramsey County for <br /> collection with property taxes payable in 1993. An 8 percent penalty will <br /> also be added to the amount certified. To avoid this penalty, past-due <br /> amounts must be received at the city by SEPTEMBER 30. <br /> SENIOR AND DISABLED CITIZENS UTILITY DISCOUNT <br /> Seniors and totally disabled residents may qualify for discounted utility <br /> rates.
