However, during b.1dget discussions for 1993, the Council approved reviewing copiers returning and to suJ::mit a recommendation. staff has evaluated three different =piers and recommends the purchase of a reconditioned Minolta 490Z at a cost to the City $2,995 (including $1,000 trade-in). Recommendation is for purchase of this item and is on the Consent Agenda due to the previous general agreement from the city Council. (A ~rJp.. E. Council Agenda Unfinished and New Business Item No. 7A regarding on site false alarm notices - Ramsey County Sheriff's Department through the Policing Contract with the City of Arden Hills has offered the service. Alarm notices would be placed by the Officer on site at the ti1ne of response. The city of North Oaks has the service in place and has seen this as a very positive service to its citizens. The benefit is that there is an i1mnediate notice to the homeowner placed by an Officer. The . Sheriff's Dept. will respond i1mnediately to the request by the City Council if it is so approved to begin this service on any false alarm reports and at the ti1ne of checking the premises. staff recommendation is to approve this service as offered by the Sheriff's Department at no additional charge to the City. You will note that the appraisal infonnation excludes several property a.mers as not benefitted fram the project, with several property owners paying higher than notice was sent.
