----_.__._~ - --~---_.__.._-- t . Arden Hills Council 2 October 26, 1992 CONSENT CALENDAR Councilmember Malone asked for further clarification on Consent Calendar items a, c, d, and e. With regard to item a, Councilmember Malone stated that his understanding of proposed Resolution 92-67 is that it requests the Commissioner of Transportation change the MSA formula in anticipation of potential transferring of jurisdiction over roadway segments from Ramsey County to municipal i ties. He asked if there is any information known as to which roads may be involved in this transfer. Administrator Person stated that informal recommendations have been made, but no formal decisions have yet been made. She added that several local communities are joining together in adopting this type of resolution. With regard to item c, Councilmember Malone asked if it is known why Ramsey County Sheriff's Office has unexpended squad funds available. Administrator Person stated their budget designated a certain amount for replacement of squad carsl those vehicles were purchased under budget due to a . joint purchasing arrangement, therefore authorization to use the remaining funds to purchase emergency equipment such as squad light bars is being requested. Malone stated there is a specific vehicle assigned to the City of Arden Hills and he questioned whether Arden Hills' portion of budget will be spent on outfitting the Arden Hills' squad. Person answered yes, that was her understanding. With regard to items d and e, Councilmember Malone stated he assumes the I-ton trucks for the Public Works Department are just chassis, and he is concerned how Public Works expenditures will compare to budget. Administrator Person, referring to a memo from the Public Works Department, stated these are I-ton chassis with specifications for dump box, plow, and salt/sand spreader to be added to each vehicle. Parks Director Buckley said he believes the cost of the one- ton trucks are offset by the rodder equipment on a trailer mount rather than a new chassis mount. MOTION: Malone moved, seconded by Mahowald to approve the Consent Calendar and authorize execution of all necessary documents contained therein. MoHon carried unanimously (4-0). a. Adopt Resolution No. 92-67 Approving the Joint Venture of County and Local Municipalities for . Committee Investigating and Reporting of Consolidation of Services. b. Adopt Proclamation Declaring the Week of November 8 through November 14, 1992 as "Values Week".
