Please find attached the Feasibility Study for the proposed 1993 Pavement Maintenance <br /> Improvements Project. This project consists of bituminous overlay and seal coat <br /> improvements on a number of streets within the City. These streets, as discussed at the <br /> I December 21, 1992, Council worksession, were chosen based Dn updated pavement ratings <br /> of all City streets and Public Works staff recDmmendations. Items discussed in the study <br /> include the proposed improvements, estimated project costs, methods of financing the <br /> I improvements, and a proposed project schedule. <br /> In accordance with the City's Assessment Manual, 50% of the bituminous overlay <br /> I improvements project cost is proposed to be assessed to the abutting property owners. No <br /> assessments are proposed for properties abutting seal coat improvements, as outlined in the <br /> Assessment Manual. <br /> I The estimated project cost for the 1993 Pavement Maintenance Improvements is $123,700. <br /> The estimated assessable cost is $49,800, leaving an estimated City cost of $73,900. The City <br /> I budgeted amount for this project is $110,000, providing a surplus budget of $36,100. The <br /> remaining budget could be used to fund improvements on Keithson Drive or other maintenance <br /> work as needed. Additional seal coating improvements could also be added without affecting <br /> I public hearing requirements, since no assessments are levied.
