CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 93-07 <br /> RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING THE NEED FOR SAFETY IN <br /> THE WORKPLACE PER THE AWAIR BILL <br /> WHEREAS, the city of Arden Hills realizes that it has the <br /> responsibility to provide a safe workplace for its employees and <br /> safe environments for its citizens. Each employee must pursue <br /> the highest standards in his or her assigned activities and all <br /> City employees must recognize that the well-being of persons <br /> involved, and the protection of our physical resources are as <br /> important as the activity and work being performed. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> ARDEN HILLS AS FOLLOWS: <br /> The City of Arden Hills is establishing a Loss Control <br /> Management Program to be implemented in stages over the next <br /> year. The City expects its management and employees to <br /> respond to all planned safety efforts and to perform their <br /> assigned jobs in the safest manner possible. <br /> As the first portion of the City of Arden Hills program, the <br />. Safety Coordinator will be assigned the responsibility of <br /> organizing the overall Loss Control Management Program. <br /> In addition, a Loss Control Committee is to be created to <br /> establish a loss control policy, investigate major losses <br /> and loss trends. This committee should be made up of <br /> employees, managers, and/or supervisors from each department <br /> with the City. <br /> Each City Department Head will be responsible for the safety <br /> and well-being of the workers in his or her department as <br /> well as the repair and maintenance of facilities and <br /> equipment in his or her area of responsibility. <br /> Each City employee will be responsible for his or her <br /> personal safety and for the safe completion of assigned <br /> tasks. <br /> I, NOW, THEREFORE, establish the Office of Safety Coordinator for <br /> the City by this notification. The Safety Coordinator will be <br /> the representative and will be responsible for staff direction <br /> and administration of our safety program. He or she will submit <br /> a report to the Administrator by departments, of the progress of <br /> the safety program. <br />. <br /> ---.-- <br />
