Motion carried unanimously (3-0). <br /> CANDIDATES - VARIOUS BOARDS <br /> Administrator Person reported that the Association of <br /> Metropolitan Municipalities has advised that they are <br /> seeking candidates for the Regional Transit Board, the <br /> Metropolitan Waste Control Commission, and the Metropolitan <br /> Parks and Open Space Board. <br /> LJVFD PENSION FUND <br /> Councilmember Malone stated that the Lake Johanna Volunteer <br /> Fire Department Pension Board recently held its annual . <br /> meeting, He highlighted the financial report and summarized <br /> that the LJVFD Pension Fund is in good financial shape <br /> handling 70 active participants and having increased their <br /> benefits over the last year. <br /> MCGUIRES BANKRUPTCY <br /> Councilmember Malone commented that recent information <br /> indicates the City received the equivalent of $36 on its <br /> c1 aim of $7,472.66 for utilities and Gateway Flowers charge <br /> submitted to court on the McGuires Inn bankruptcy case, He <br /> asked if McGuires paid their liquor licenses to the City. <br /> Deputy Clerk Iago reported that McGuires paid their liquor <br /> license, but they did not pay their taxes, and she would <br /> check with the County to see if the bankruptcy judgment <br /> ordered payment of taxes. <br /> PRESENTATION OF PLAQUES/ <br /> RECOGNITION OF SERVICES <br /> Mayor Sather read aloud Resolutions 93-05 and 93-06 <br /> Commending JoAnn Growe and Thomas Mahowald for their Years <br /> of Service to the City of Arden Hills, He presented plaques <br /> to both Growe and Mahowald; those in attendance applauded. <br /> . <br />
