MEEl'DI; ctl PROPOSED REalEM'IctlAL VEHICLE REGUIATIONS: Planner Bergly presented the revised Recreational Vehicle Regulations to the audience both in handout form arrl oral presentation. Clair Probst requested the sign in sheet arrl opened the ni"""lSSion to the first name on the sign in sheet. Followin:] are sununarizations of resident concerns: 1- Jim Ross stated the followin:]: . . '!he appearance from the street of an IN parked alongside of a garage is the same with a larger IN as with a snaller IN. He preferred any reference to length be deleted. . Would like to see the FlY regulations handled urrler the Nuisance Ordinance. . '!he fewer laws the better . Maintenance is the issue for havin:] the IN accessible on their property . 2. Mrs. Ross commented to the Commission that they did a good job addressin:] the issues raised by FlY owners, arrl requested that the City doesn't require hard surfaces like black top or cement vs gravel for parking IN's. 3. Virginia Forside stated her questions were answered. 4. Judy Tekautz stated her questions were answered. 5. Romelle croswell stated she strongly supports Jim Ross's issues. She requested a confirmation of the definition of front yard arrl buildable area. 6. Les Croswell questioned whether there will be a variance process pennitted for a person with a large front yard setback arrl no back yard accessibility. He could show a hardship because of unusual lot con:litions. 7. David Fritz noted a 1947 Supreme Court rulin:] that the City cannot pass an Ordinance over Federal law. Mr. Fritz suggested the City Attorney look for errors. . Take off the length requirement, leave open ended. . . Require parking of FlY's on gravel with drainage.
