As you know, just prior to the Assessment Hearing on May 10, 1993, it was brought to City <br /> staff's attention that the properly at 3945 Ro1li:ng Hills Road was inadvertently missed on the <br /> assessment roll. This property, owned by Mr. Jim Hanton, was subdivided from an existing lot, <br /> was closed on in May 1992, and the house was closed on in January 1993. A sketch of the <br /> properly subdivision showing the new Tract B is attached. Because of the recent timing of this <br /> transaction, it was missed in the assessment roll. <br /> Based on the dimensions of the property and using the City's Assessment Manual relating to odd- <br /> shaped lots, the adjusted front footage for Tract B is 95.00 feet and results in an assessment of <br /> $283.10. As a comparison, the adjusted front footage for Tract A was 100.00 feet. <br /> We have spoken with Mr. Hanton by phone regarding this situation. Mr. Hanton indicated that <br /> he understands that his property was missed and that he is wi1li:ng to pay "his fair share". He <br /> had seen the various articles in the Focus Newspaper, and was waiting to receive his mailed <br /> notice. Mr. Hanton did not feel that an on-site meeting was necessary, but requested that the <br /> calculation of his adjusted front footage be provided for his review.
