This group is raising funds for their environmental adv=acy work. staff reconunencls approval of this request. 2. Council may recall that Mark Chapin requested a reduction in parking in his area by high school students. Mr. Chapin states his intent was to request Venus Avenue to be reviewed. for consideration of parking signage, however I the motion stated that . Rolling Hills should be signed. staff requests clarification in the minutes of today re: this road signing to be Venus Ave. Further study to be reported at the August 24 worksession. II. UNFINISHED AND NEW BUSINESS 1. steve Nelson Upjate - Finalizing this item has been interrupted by the individuals' vacations etc. It appears that Klawitters and Nelsons have a resolution. Nelson has agreed to pay a lump sum of $2,500 to Klawitters within 60 days of Council approval to cover the cost of sewer connection. lhe planned sewer connection would be from the individuals' homes to the City sewer in the road. This plan would apply to both the Klawitters and the Nelsons. This item may be removed from the agenda in order for all parties to have final written agreement. If postponed, it will be continued until the City council meeting of August 30. 2. Request for a partial refund of retail sales fee of $50.00. (letter attached) victor Seevers has requested that one half ($25.00) of his retail sales fee of $50.00 be reimbursed to hi1n. You may recall that this is the individual who requested sales of rugs and art at the Ramada Inn from June 28 through September 24 at four (4) different time intervals. Following staff review and further investigation, the Council did rescind the approval for . this application, allowing hiln to finish the first week sales. Mr. Seevers is now asking for reimbursement of this fee. Council approved. his pennit request on June 28 for the period of 6/28 t.hru 7/2, thereby giving Mr. Seevers time to operate until the end of that week. staff does not recommend reimbursement of this fee. Mr. Seevers mayor may not appear in person at the Council meeting .
