I offer the <br /> fOllowing clarifying comments to a portion of your memo to the <br /> Council dated December 10, ]993. <br />~ f.t;-/ In regard to General Information Item D, r have indicated that <br />,p;::1 banquet facilities are a normal accessory use to a hotel/motel <br />~ principal use and that a four hour use of such facility for an <br /> auction would not be unusual. In addition, the type of activity <br /> does not appear to be otherwise prohibited in a B-2 Zone. <br />· In regard to General Informacion Item E, I have indicated <br /> that, from a legal standpoint, I am recommending that the use be <br />tf~~~ legitimi~ed or eliminated. It can be legitimized by a combination <br /> of rezoning amendnlents to the City's Zoning Regulations. If the <br /> City does not choose to address the issue in that manner, I am <br /> recommending that the use be eliminated over a reasonable <br /> amortization period by means of a contract between the City and the <br /> property owner. <br />. <br />
