MINUTES OF THE ARDEN HILLS COUNCIL WORkSESSION MEETING <br /> THURSDAY, DECEMBER 16, 1993, 4:30 P.M. - CITY HALL CONFERENCE <br /> ROOM <br /> CALL TO ORDER Mayor Sather called the meeting to order at <br /> 4:42 p.m. <br /> ROLL CALL The roll being called the following members <br /> were present: Mayor Sather, Councilmembers <br /> Paul Malone, Beverly Aplikowski and Dale <br /> Hicks. Absent: Councilmember Probst. Also <br /> present: City Accountant Terrance Post, Park <br /> Director Cindy Severtson, Community Planning <br /> Coordinator Brian Fritsinger, Public Works <br /> Superintendent Dan Winkel, City Administrator <br /> Dorothy Person and Recording Secretary Renee <br /> Kaulfuss. <br /> ADOPT AGENDA Malone moved, seconded by HiCks, to adopt the <br /> Worksession Agenda as revised. Motion carried <br /> unanimously. (4-0) <br /> UPDATE <br /> EVEREST GROUP Community Planning Coordinator Brian <br /> Fritsinger updated the Council on the ongoing <br /> . discussions he has had with Everest. Mr. <br /> Fritsinger stated he has repeatedly requested <br /> the representatives from Everest to address <br /> their concerns with the Developers agreement <br /> in writing. Two areas of concern are: A <br /> request that the City make any necessary <br /> improvement up-front at the City's expense; <br /> and secondly they wish that no TIF funds are <br /> used for the improvements. <br /> Mr. Fritsinger asked the Council whether <br /> their direction has changed in any manner <br /> from the original discussions. The Council <br /> concurred that their direction has no <br /> changed. <br /> RAMADA INN <br /> MISCELLANEOUS <br /> PERMIT REQUEST Mr. Fritsinger commented that their had been <br /> a request to conduct an auction in one of the <br /> banquet facility rooms at the Ramada Inn. He <br /> requested Council's direction if this was an <br /> allowable use of these facilities. Council <br /> concurred with city Attorney that this an <br /> acceptable practice of the Hotel/Motel <br /> . <br /> ~--- <br />
