To date, staff has received <br /> only a letter outlining concerns about how the rate was established. The <br /> hcrreowners feel they should be assessed an incli vidual resident rate rather <br /> than the low density multiple dwelling rate that was used. CillTently the <br /> townhouse area is zoned R-3 and is considered low density. The entire <br /> townhouse area is s~iced by a series of srrall ponds and storm sewer pipes <br /> that [!Dve a rrajority of water in a south and westerly direction. Staff is <br /> waiting for additional inforrration fran the Townhome Association regarding <br /> this appeal. The CUJ:Tent R-3 low density zoning has a rate of $32.48 per <br /> acre. The fee calculation for the Pemtcm Townhouses are as follows: <br /> . Total Acreage 70.52 acres <br /> Minus acreage of public roads 4 . 72 acres <br /> Number of Townbcmes 306 units <br /> Quarterly fee per acre $32.48 <br /> Fee calculation: <br /> (70.52-4.27) X $32.48 / 306 = $7.00 per unit per quarter <br /> It is my understanding that the townhcmes request for their appeal be heard at <br /> the January 20, 1994 Council Worksession.
