Highway 96 Arden Hills, MN 55112-5794 Dear Dorothy: As we discussed over the telephone this week, the City of New Brighton may soon be in a position to move forword with a feasibility study regarding a cooperative building inspection serVices. The Board of Government Innovation and Cooperation . recently provided an initial approval of 0 planning grant application and has requested us to proceed to the second phase of the grant application process. Should our grant application for Part II be approved, we will be owarded approximately $25,000 in planning funds to complete a study and plan regarding the potential merits of addressing inspection needs jointly. I As part of the granting requirements of the Board, we need to have signatures of all- interested parties and approved copies of resolutions to the same. The time frame for this final grant submission makes it difficult to have copies of approved resolutions from all the cities in a timely manner --.we need to'submit the final grant information by January 7, 1994. So whet we propose to do is to have each city menager or effkio! designee si-gn the application, which is required, and complete and have approved the attached resolution. Spaces have been left open to fill in the appropriate information in an attempt to expedite this process. Once the Council has approved the resolution, please return a copy for attachment to the application. If it is not possible to have Council approval before the deadline, please return a copy of the completed, unapproved resolution so that it can be attached to the application wit~ an explanation that approval is pending. - _.m~ . - 803 Fifth Avenue NW .
