-
-
2. Circulation Plan:
- This plan assumes that Lexington Avenue traffic will increase
to the point where northbound left turns in to or out of the
study area will be eliminated either by a median in Lexington .
or by the sheer difficulty in making left turns.
0 A new "service road" is proposed between Red Fox and Grey
Fox Roads midway between Lexington and Dunlap (along the
existing north/south property line).
0 Southbound right turns in and out would sti 11 be ,
permitted from Lexington Avenue businesses. I
0 I nteri or connections between properties would be needed
as shown on the "Schematic Circulation" diagram.
0 The St. Paul Metalcraft building is constructed close to
the existing drive at the west end of the building and
would constrict (not prohibit) circulation on the
proposed service road.
- Northwoods Drive is extended to the west and south to complete
the loop pattern. This alignment was proposed on the pre-
liminary plat approved by the City.
- A pedestrian walk system is proposed along all three east/west
streets and along Lexington Avenue and Hamline Avenue.
Besides providing pedestrian access throughout the area, it
provides a two-mile pedestrian exercise loop for local
employees. .
-30-
