OUARANTINE OF ANIMAL WHICH HAS BITTEN A PERSON; <br /> DESTRUCTION OF RABID ANIMALS. <br /> ~ AnY dog or other animal that has bitten a oerson and <br /> caused an abrasion or ouncture of the skin shall ~ <br /> immediately be quarantined for a minimum of ten (10) days. <br /> Such an animal shall be confined at a veterinary hosoital <br /> or at the owner's home in such a manner that it does not <br /> esca~e or come in contact with other oeoole or animals. <br /> When the doq or animal is quarantined as stated above. it <br /> shall be at the owner's expense. A quarantine reoort <br /> must be comoleted by the local animal control agency. <br /> Stray animals that have bitten a oerson shall be <br /> quarantined throuqh the local animal control agency. <br /> Doqs that are involved in two (:2 ) or more bi tes are <br /> sub;ect to Section: 5-37. <br /> Q.....l No law enforcement officer or other person shall kill. or <br /> cause to be killed., any animal ,suspected of beinq rabid. <br /> except after the animal has been olaced in quarantine and <br /> the diaqnosis of rabies made. <br /> . <br />
