If you are interested oz if you <br /> know a city official you would like to see considered for nomination, please forward the <br /> name and a brief resume to the AMM office, Attention Vem Petezson, no later than Friday, <br /> April 15. <br /> RESPONSIBILITIES OF TIlE BOARD OF DIRECTORS: <br /> The Board of Directors is responsible for the overall management and administration of the <br /> AMM staff and activities, and exercises its responsibilities through the Executive Director. The <br /> Board also is responsible for the Annual Budget and Work Program, sets the annual dues rate, <br /> appoints members of the standing Legislative Policy Committees, and establishes program and <br /> legislative priorities on an annual basis. The Board normally meets once a month on the second <br /> Thursday, beginning at 7 p.m. Please contact Vem Peterson in the AMM office if you want <br /> more information regarding the Board activities and responsibilities. <br /> ~ Entries - Innovative City Award <br /> The AMM Innovative City Award recognizes and honors the city that has undertaken an <br /> activity or program that, among other things, stimulates creativity, demonstrates efficiency, <br /> . promotes economic viability develops an awareness among residents and fosters a sense of <br /> community. <br /> Cities may enter as many activities and/or projects as they wish. However, each entry must be <br /> submitted under separate cover. <br /> CRITERIA: <br /> To be considered for the AMM Innovative City Award, the entry should: <br /> 1. Present a different approach demonstrating creativity in identifying and correcting existing <br /> community issues. <br /> 2. Enhance residents' partidpation. <br /> 3. Foster a sense of community through partidpation and communication. <br /> 4. Promote collaborative/cooperative efforts among other units of government or the private <br /> sector, if applicable. <br /> S. Provide better delivery of service(s) or more efficient use of personnel. <br /> 6. Demonstrate monetary savings, either short-term or long-term, if applicable, and/or <br /> stimulation of economic viability. <br /> Judging will be conducted by a five-member panel of elected and appointed dty officials. Each <br /> criterion will be judged separately, so entrants compete against a scale, not each other. The <br /> activity or program with the highest cumulative total will be the winner. <br /> ApPLICATION PROCESS: <br /> . Each application MUST include these areas of consideration: <br /> 1.
