CITY OF ARDEN HILLS
. MIMJRANDCM
DATE: March 29, 1994
TO: Brian FritsiIlqer. C.......1I1ity Developlll!D.t Coordi.nato@
FRCM: Arden Hills Planning Calm; ..,,;.....,
SUBoJE::l' : Rice Creek Watershed District Pel:mits
Attached you will find pennit inforrration frc::m Rice Creek Watershed
District. I obtained this inforrration after holding a discussion with
Kate Drewery at Rice Creek Watershed District. ,
As you can see, Rice Creek Watershed District does review all of the
following :
Land I:evelopnent Plans Final Site Drainage Plans
Stormwater Managerrent Plans Wetland Alteration
Shoreland Alteration Grading/Erosion Control Plan
Public/Private Drainage Rough Grading Plan
. '!he review of site plans vary depending on the type and size of the
project (see inforrration sheet.) The procedural requirement w:::uld be fairly sirrple
to. irrplernent .
The broader question raised at the last rreeting was who should be
resp:msible for review of the a\:;ove. Ms. Dre'.oJery indicated that none of
the local governments within the Rice Creek Watershed District have
opted to take the resp::>nsibility to review the a\:;ove. Each corrrnunity
. which has adopted its Water Management Plan has given this
