<br /> .. <br /> April 27, 1994 <br /> Arden Hills City Council <br /> 1450 West Highway 96 <br /> Arden Hills, MN 55112 <br /> Re: Utilization of land at the TCAAP <br /> At the meeting last Thursday evening, April 21 , I rose and <br /> made a suggestion for the use of a possible parcel, or parcels, of <br /> land lying outside the TAACP area. <br /> There i s one parcel of 209 acres which is owned by the <br /> University of Minnesota which constitutes the old airport site <br /> at County Road J and 1-35 W. <br /> Since there appears to be a need for more Golf Courses in the <br /> neighborhood, and the University may be in the need of <br /> more space also, is there a possibility of several communities <br /> and the University planning together to develop a good professional <br /> course on this site. <br /> . The site is not far removed from the N W corner of the TAACP <br /> land, and this would leave the TAACP area with more <br /> undisturbed area. Many attending the past several meetings <br /> believe this highly desirable. <br /> An additional factor i s the cost of developing a reasonably <br /> good golf course for Arden Hills alone. <br /> The 209 acres I refer to have been mapped by the Soil Survey <br /> and this map would give you further information.
