Council saw a lack of information, <br /> in general, that has been circulated on this project. <br /> Aplikowski indicated that the present Committee has <br /> indicated their unhappiness in meeting at the Army Reserve, <br /> that they would prefer to meet at their homes as previously <br /> done, and that they continue to request staff assistance. <br /> Council indicated that since it seems to be a lower volume <br /> of types of issues in Arden Hills that it does appear that <br /> this Committee is struggling; that the interest is no longer <br /> as high as previous. Aplikowski indicated they will not be <br /> meeting until September. Council requested that the <br /> Commission to review its current status and programs. A <br /> decision is needed to identify whether the Commission should <br /> exist as currently is in place, whether it should become a <br /> Committee, or whether there is any need for the committee. <br /> Dick Roessler. Chairman from the Public Works and Public Safetv <br /> Committee - COMMITTEE UPDATE <br /> . Roessler reviewed the Public Safety/Public Works comments on <br /> their mission statement. They also reviewed the 1994 <br /> objectives which include: water meter evaluation, snow <br /> removal on sidewalks and trails, public safety trends, and <br /> police and fire department protection contracts. <br /> Council reviewed and discussed that they generally agreed <br /> with the objectives of ~994 and the Mission Statement of <br /> this Committee. They asked for further input as issues come <br /> up; further input to the Council as the Committee begins <br /> working on different items. council Indicating that Fire <br /> Department is in an area that they are particularly <br /> concerned about looking at from time to time. <br /> Leslie Goldsmith also attended this portion of the meeting. <br /> She requested information regarding that what had been the <br /> results of the striping lane request for Lexington. Hicks <br /> also suggested that the Committee might also want to look at <br /> the stripes along County Road E, speed controls, park <br /> lanes, turning lanes and parking areas among others. <br /> DAVE SAND.
