ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION — APRIL 22, 2024 11 F. Agenda Planning City Administrator Perrault stated Council passed a process for setting agendas at its April 8th City Council meeting. At that meeting, it called for Council to review upcoming agenda items and decide if items should be added, removed, or pushed for future discussion. The intent is to give Council control of its agenda and priorities. Below are topics Staff has planned for the May 13th Worksession and the May 28th Worksession (note: items are tentative): May 13th Worksession • Compensation Study Update • Capital Funding Follow Up • Tobacco Moratorium Update • Rain Garden Discussion • RCC/TCAAP Discussion • Agenda Planning May 28th Worksession • TH Highway 10 and Highway 96 Maintenance • Old Highway 10 Trail Design Discussion • Encroachment Discussion Update • RCC/TCAAP Discussion • Agenda Planning City Administrator Perrault reviewed a list of topics that have yet to be discussed by Council, it reflects the removal of items that have recently been discussed or are ongoing, such as, strategic goal setting, proclamation policy and the encroachment discussion. Council may want to discuss if any items need to be added to this list for future discussion or assign a future meeting for some of these items. This would need to be done by a majority consensus of Council. Councilmember Holden stated she would like to have Committees discussed at a future worksession. City Administrator Perrault stated he would be adding Role of the Committee/Commission liaisons and Proclamations to a future worksession agenda. Councilmember Holden asked how items could be added to a worksession agenda. City Administrator Perrault explained per the consensus of the Council this would be determined at the end of a worksession. Councilmember Rousseau questioned if the May 13 worksession would begin at 5:00 p.m. City Administrator Perrault reported the May 13 meeting would begin at 5:30 p.m. He stated the June, July and August meetings be special worksessions and begin at 5:00 p.m. Mayor Grant suggested the Twin Cities Gateway funding be discussed on either May 13 or May 28.
