Storm Sewer Cleaning. <br /> valentine Avenue pond has been cleaned - partially plugged <br /> . due to tree roots. <br /> B. Accounting . <br /> l. Budget preparation with City Department Heads is =ently <br /> being addressed. The 6 nonth year to date info:rmation will <br /> provide the best basis for budget planning. (To be obtained <br /> after June.) The 5 year capital inprovement plan is being <br /> fine tuned. The department heads are working on a policy to <br /> use with the capital improvement plan. <br /> II. Updates. <br /> A. Parks and Recreation. <br /> l. The Gateway Flower Beds and five businesses along Cotmty <br /> Road E were planted on Saturday, May 21st by 27 residents <br /> and 5 businesses of Arden Hills. These residents <br /> volunteered to plant and maintain the beds for the season. <br /> 2. The Gateway Garden on the north side of Cotmty Road E and <br /> Lexington will be l.lp3raded to include a larger planting of <br /> annual flowers, trees, and shrubs. The flowers were planted <br /> on Tuesday, May 24th. The trees and shrubs will be planted <br /> within a week. <br /> 3. The trails have been swept and trees along them trinmed. <br /> III.
