Storm Sewer Cleaning. <br /> Valentine Avenue pond has been cleaned - partially plugged <br /> I due to tree r=ts. <br /> B. Accounting . <br /> l. Budget preparation with City Department Heads is rurrently <br /> being addressed. The 6 rronth year to date information will <br /> provide the best basis for budget planning. (To be obtained <br /> after June.) The 5 year capital irrprovement plan is being <br /> fine tuned. The department heads are I.IOrking on a policy to <br /> use with the capital :irrprovement plan. <br /> II. Updates. <br /> A. parks and Recreation. <br /> l. The Gateway Flower Beds were planted on Saturday, May 21st <br /> by 27 residents of Arden Hills. These residents volunteered <br /> to plant and maintain the beds throughout the season. <br /> 2. In addition 5 local businesses along County Road E planted <br /> flowers . <br /> 3. The Gateway Garden on the north side of County Road E and <br /> Iexington will be upgraded to include a larger planting of <br /> annual flowers, trees, and shn1bs. The flowers were planted <br /> on Tuesday, May 24th. The trees and shn1bs will be planted <br /> within a ~ek. <br /> 4. The trails have been swept and trees along them trimred. <br /> III.
