June 16, 1994 <br /> Mayor and City Council <br /> CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> 1450 West Highway 96 <br /> Arden Hills MN 55112 <br /> RE: Arden Manor Mobi Ie Home Park <br /> Dear Mayor and Members of the City Council: <br /> The undersigned owners of Arden Manor Mobi Ie Home Park respectfully request <br /> the City of Arden Hills to provide us with an estimate of the cost to the <br /> mobile home park to connect to City water on a standby basis. Currently <br /> park residents are being serviced by an 847 foot well installed in approxi- <br /> mately 1983. The park's other well was used as a standby until approximately <br /> a year ago when the Department of Health informed the park that the standby <br /> well was not an acceptable source of potable water. Accordingly, it has <br /> become necessary for the park to obtain a standby source of water for those <br /> rare occasions when the main well needs maintenance or repair. <br /> . We have met with Dan Winkel, Public Works Superintendent, to discuss this <br /> proposal. He indicated the City may be willing to consider connection on a <br /> standby basis. It is our understanding that connection on a standby basis <br /> would require construction of a meter pit and reducer station in the vicinity <br /> of the existing water main stub. We hereby respectfully request the City to <br /> provide an estimate for those costs and any other costs anticipated in <br /> connecting to the City water supply on a standby basis. <br /> For your information, we are currently having discussions with the Army <br /> regarding its responsibility to pay for a standby source of water for the <br /> park residents. We intend to request the Army to reimburse us for any costs <br /> we incur in providing a standy source of water for our park residents. <br /> Thank you in advance for your consideration of our request.
