<br /> , . <br /> . <br /> CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> PUBLIC WORKS & SAFETY COMMITTEE <br /> WATEB USAGE STUDY REPORT <br /> Charter: <br /> The Arden Hills Public Works and Safety Committee was chartered by the Public <br /> Works Department to assist in a Water Usage study chartered to examine the 1990 <br /> discrepancy between the volume of water purchased from Roseville and the volume of <br /> water billed to Arden Hills consumers. <br /> PW & S Committee ResDonse: <br /> . The PW & S Committee agreed to participate in the Water Usage study. A <br /> Subcommittee was formed and participants agreed to submit a report to the Public <br /> Works Superintendent and to the City Administrator, Dick Fregeau, Bill Gillies, Leslie <br /> Goldsmith and Dick Roessler served on the subcommittee. Dan Winkel, Public Works <br /> Superintendent provided staff support to the subcommittee. <br /> Subcommittee Study Objectives: <br /> 0 To determine cost effective alternatives for improving water meter service <br /> considering technical advances, ease of system upgrade, capital and <br /> maintenance costs, and expected service life. <br /> 0 To determine the format, style and content of a subcommittee report as <br /> anticipated by the Public Works Superintendent and the City <br /> Administrator. <br /> 0 To make a Water Usage recommendation to the City Council via the <br /> Public Works Superintendent and the City Administrator. <br /> . -1- <br />
