Economic Development Committee Meeting Minutes <br /> May 19, 199-4 <br /> Army Reserve Center <br /> 1- The meeting was called to order at 8:08 a,m, <br /> 2, Present were: Tom Goblirsch, Steve Freimuth, Mary <br /> Miller, Jerry Moehnke, Arnold Lindberg, Dan McCallum, <br /> Councilmember Aplikowski and Rob Carlson, Absent was <br /> Trygve Egge and Community Planning Coordinator <br /> Fritsinger. <br /> 3. April 21, 1994 minutes were approved. <br /> 4. Business Survey <br /> The Economic Development Committee had 18 possible <br /> concerns from businesses that should be follow up. <br /> S, Arden Plaza <br /> Maybe since United Properties is taking over things <br /> will change for the better. <br />. 6. Council member Aplikowski updated the Committee on <br /> Ryder Student Transportation. There are strong <br /> neighborhood groups which are opposing them. The <br /> neighbors don't want the buses to go east on County <br /> Road F. Jerry Moehnke suggested when this issue <br /> retur::1S to the Council a member from the Committee <br /> should be there. Councilmember Aplikowski stated June <br /> .1 1994 is the next meeting on the bus issue, <br /> - , <br /> 7. Mr. Fritsinger will go to Cardiac Pacemakers, They <br /> seemed to be a major concern, There are six major <br /> businesses that really needed our attention. Jerry <br /> Moehnke is going to get a list of rental property in <br /> Arden Hills, <br /> 8. ,Dan McCallum will go see O~l Engineering and East Side <br /> Beverage. <br /> 9 . The Ro~nd Lake area is still available, Everest will, <br /> know this monch. <br />. <br />~ <br />
