<br /> . <br />. . <br />. <br />. c:t'l'Y OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> ~ <br /> DATE: A1.lgust 11, 1994 <br /> TO: Dorothy Person, City Jlrlrnini "trator <br /> FRaol: : Brian Fritsinger, C........mi ty Plann:i.Dg Coorcli:lator ~ <br /> stlBJECT : Chapter 18, Peddlers, Solicitors and Transient Merchants; <br /> Chapter 13, Licenses <br /> In addition to the change proposed by City Attomey Filla in Case #94- <br /> 19, several other minor arrendments were proposed to Chapters 18 and 13 <br /> by our attomey, As with Case #94-19, these changes were siuply to <br /> clarify the ordinance in the area of open sales lots, <br /> The prcpcsed changes are as follows and can be found underlined in the <br /> attached ordinance: <br />. 1- Amend the definition of Transient Mm:hants contained in Arden <br /> Hills COde Section 18-03 to read: "Transient Merchant rreans any <br /> person, firm or corpcratian who engages in any temporary <br /> business either in one locality, or by travelling frcm place to <br /> place, selling rnercba:ndise; and who, for the purpcse of carrying <br /> on such business, owns, leases, occupies or uses a building, a <br /> pcrtion of a building, or a rreans of transportation, for the <br /> exhibition and sales of such rrerchandise." <br /> 2. Re-fomat the current provisions of Arden Hills Code 18-13A, B <br /> and C so they read as follows: <br /> 18-14. Prohibi tt'rl Pratt ices <br /> (a) SIGNS. It shall b: unlawful for any peddler or <br /> solicitor to enter in or upcn any premises or <br /> attempt to enter in = UPOIl any premises whereiri. a <br /> sign or placard bearing the notice "Peddlers or <br /> Solicitors Prohibited," or language similar thereto, <br /> is located. <br />. <br />
