Political Signs - This past M:Jnday Dave Kriesel in acting as Enforcerrent Officer rerroved political signs fran several different pclitical candidates that were within the right of way throughout Arden Hills. Tuesday, Candidate Tan Fab:l's office questioned the rercova1 of these signs. They did care and pick up the signs for Fabel. There were allegations of prejudice by the City, inoonsistent enforcerrent and that there was no legal basis for any enforcerrent, Staff reviewed the issue with the City Attorney. The City sign ordinance adopted in 1993 identifies political signs as covered and provides that a pe:tmi.t is required (enclosed), The Ordinance also provides that the City nay . irrpound signs placed on public property. Ramsey County and the State of Minnesota also send infortmtion to all candidates verifying that signs nay not b: placed in the right of way, If you have any concem please let us !mow. 2. A change in the tillE of VENID's rreeting - August 30 at 6 :30 p.m. at Bldg 105, TCAAP 3, Kent SUlem, attorney fran IM: for the City O:xie Reco.:lification, repcrts that he expects to have his first draft of changes to the City by August 20. Items that can be addressed are both administrative and substantive in nature, Kent will identify which areas he sees needing updates. The Staff will review these items with Kent over the next few weeks. Following this review, the Council will review the suggestions in order to create a final draft. 4. The Property Tax Division of the Minnesota Dept, of Revenue sent a copy of the certification of HACA for 1995. The 1995 HACA for Arden Hills district will be $100,243.
