<br /> ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL - AUGUST 8, 1994 7 <br />. <br /> MCCLUNG DEVELOPMENT UPDATE <br /> Fritsinger stated that the developer's agreement is in regard to a single family lot subdivision. <br /> The key items are identified in the report. General grading has been completed and pre- <br /> construction meetings have been scheduled for later in the week. Everything is on track. <br /> MOTION: Hicks moved and Aplikowsi seconded a motion for the City to enter into an <br /> agreement with Mr. McClung for the McOung Development Fourth Addition. <br /> The motion was unanimously approved (3-0). <br /> MOTION: Hicks moved and Aplikowski seconded a motion for the City to accept the <br /> 18,037 square foot area identified in the plat as the park dedication of the <br /> McClung Development. The motion was unanimously approved (3-0). <br /> RESCHEDULR AUGUST WORKSESSION <br /> MOTION: Hicks moved and Aplikowski seconded a motion to reschedule the August <br /> Council worksession from August 18, 1994, to August 31, 1994, at 4:30 p.m., <br /> to be held at the TCAAP property. <br />. Person referred Councilmembers to a letter on the Stowe A venue reconstruction that will be <br /> discussed at the Council Worksession on August 31, 1994. <br /> Aplikowski asked if the City is participating in the Minnesota Cities' Week. <br /> Person answered that no plans have been made, but staff would be open to whatever the <br /> Council deems appropriate. <br /> Aplikowski requested that this item be included in the budget for next year with a notice in <br /> the newspaper indicating that Arden Hills is a sponsor and participant in .Cities' Week.. She <br /> added that she would like to see the Council and City officials reach out more into the <br /> community. She has had three conversations with residents who do not know how to access <br /> City Hall, and there are residents who do not know where it is located. She emphasized the <br /> need for public relations measures and requested that a worksession agenda include a <br /> discussion of publishing a newsletter. <br /> Aplikowski questioned publishing information regarding assessments. She stated that she has <br /> received telephone calls and would like to pursue a better system for informing residents of <br /> the procedure and timeline of appealing assessments. <br /> Person stated that special information on assessments was distributed this year, but staff will <br /> draft a full procedure with time deadlines. <br />. <br />
