As I rrentioned that day, <br /> there ll'ay be several other sites that warrant the oonsideration of the <br /> City Co\fficil. <br /> Obviously, the key to relocating to a new site is whether or not the <br /> City is ccmnitting to the site long-term or short-term. I asSUIre that <br /> your discussions with the City Council have detailed the rronetary <br /> plans and alte=tives for a relocated or new City Hall. These <br /> alte=tive ll'ay have included: <br /> . 1. Retro fit and expansion of botb buildings on the present <br /> site. <br /> 2. Building new facilities on other sites <br /> 3. Tearing down and building new facilities on present site <br /> 4. Leasing or building new on tbe arsenal property. <br /> 5. Leasing facilities elsewhere in City. <br /> 6. Operate \ffider existing conditions. <br /> 1. Gate~v Business District. <br /> There are no vacant buildings in this proposed develq:m:nt but <br /> the City does = a=eage where a new building oould be <br /> constructed. Everest Develq:m:nt has indicated to staff that <br /> their firm =uld be interested in a lease/purchase project for <br /> a new City Hall. <br /> Advantaqe of the Site. <br /> A. Minill'al land acquisition costs <br /> B. Will assist in tbe future redevelopnent of the area <br /> C. May assist in potential land swap with Harstad <br /> D. Easy access <br /> E. Corrpatible with zoning, adjacent land uses <br /> . <br />
