As with Case #94-19, these changes were sirrply to <br /> clarify the ordinance in the area of open sales lots. <br /> The proposed ec"Janges are as follows and can be found underlined in the <br /> attached ordinance: <br /> . 1- Arrend the definition of Transient !lerchants contained in Arden <br /> Hills Code Section 18-03 to read: "Transient Merchant means any <br /> person, firm or oo:q:oration who engages in any temporary <br /> business either in one locality, or by travelling frcm place to <br /> place, selling merchandise; and who, for the purpose of carrying <br /> on such business, owns, leases, occupies or uses a building, a <br /> portion of a building, or a rreans of transportation, for the <br /> exhibition and sales of such rrerchandise." <br /> 2. Re-format the arrrent provisions of Arden Hills Code 18-13A, B <br /> and C so they read as follows: <br /> 18-14. Prohibited Practices <br /> (a) SIGNS. It shall be unlawful for any peddler or <br /> solicitor to enter in or up::on any'premises or <br /> atterrpt to enter in or up::on any premises wherein a <br /> sign or placard bearing the notice "Peddlers or <br /> Solicitors Prohibited," or language similar the::-eto, <br /> is located. <br /> . <br />
