We briefly discussed the prospect of a Foundation for Arden Hil.b. The consensus <br /> appeared to be that we all agreed that a foundation would be a great funding source, however we <br /> need to find individuals who are wilJing to become involved with the Fonnri:rtino as well as <br /> fundraising, social events and otber administrative responsibilities. <br /> City Financial! <br /> Ter.ry Post gave his financial report which indicated tbat the street depanmem had not yet been <br /> allocated any pavement tnaIllIgement costs. However, monthly expenditllIes in the PlRFund 501 <br /> included payment to Asbbacl1 Construction for the pavement management program and additional <br /> fimds to the city's outside engineers. <br /> A brief discussion was held on the purpose of the funds and the accounting between the funds. <br /> Action on Committee Reports Utility Ra1l!S <br /> . Cri&tine Leavitt briefly discuase<:I a report she had submitted to the City Council in regard to the <br /> Water Fund. This report had been submitted by Ms. Leavitt as an Arden Hills citizen. Although <br /> she is a member of the Utility Rate Committee, the report she had done did not re1lect the <br /> Committee's position since the collllllittee had not met prior to the City Council meeting. This <br /> report imlicated that perhaps a more fair way to assess for the sanitary sewage rates would be to <br /> charge a flat rate to COVet 1ixed costs and then a variable rate per gallon. The me pet gallon <br /> would tend to discourage over-usage at"water. In addition, most cities which were reviewed, did <br /> not provide for a senior citizens discowrt. <br /> Note Change of Dare <br /> It was decided in light of the upcoming holidays, that the November ArdenHills City Council. <br /> Meeting will be held on Thursday, November 18 [Please note the meeting has subsequently been <br /> rescheduled to Monday, November 21] and the December meeting wiD be held on Thursday, <br /> December IS.
