TARGET REVITALIZATION STRATEGIES - Selective ReluzbiliJation <br /> a. Improve the overall level of enforcement of residential property standards. <br /> b. Establish multi-year strategies for neighborhood revitalization and funding commitments <br /> to carry out the plans. <br /> c. Solve land use conflicts and other problems to enhance the quality and distinctive <br /> character of areas with moderate improvement needs. <br /> d. Support adequate maintenance where quality is strong. <br />. e. Improve management and maintenance of smaller rental properties through landlord and <br /> tenant education and enforcement of standards. <br /> f. Ensure that appropriate resources and services are available to assist residents, including <br /> services, outreach and referral and support for neighborhood organizing to build the new <br /> community. <br /> g. Police, schools, civic groups, social agencies and families should work together to <br /> eliminate problems of illegal and disruptive behavior which are serious obstacles to <br /> neighborhood quality. <br /> h. Make changes to the housing supply through renovation, redevelopment or new <br /> construction which will contribute to a population balanced in terms of income, lifestyle <br /> and housing options. <br /> i Identify areas of incompatible land uses that detract from residential quality in <br /> neighborhoods and seek opportunities to resolve conflicts through acquisition, <br /> redevelopment and private efforts to strengthen buffers between residential and less <br /> compatible land uses. <br />. iii] Urban Strategies Task Force Report 19 <br />----------- <br />
