Post, Acting City Administrator SUBJECT: Packet Comments for 12/15/94 Council Worksession Admi ste Comments - Per ncil direction, Clerk/Administrator applicants who survived the second cut ware contacted by phone by the Acting City Administrator to advise them of their status and to complete the 1/7/95 interview schedule. Mayor Probst will follow up with a personal letter to the successful and unsuccessful candidates. - On 12/14/94 the city received a generous $10,000 contribution from the Light Brigade charitable gambling organization with use restricted to field lighting of the proposed Perry Park redevelopment project. 1- Discuss v rest evelo ment Subm' al Extension Re uest On 12/13/94 Community Planni oordinator Fritsinger, the City's financial advisor . (Ehlers and Associates). and y f met with Everest Development's financial advisor (Casserly & Molzahn) to discu financial pro forma materials submitted by the developer. This marks the beginning of the due diligence review process by the city to ascertain the economic viability of the proposed development project. Irrespective of this ongoing due diligence review, it is anticipated that the focus of the worksession discussion will be on the issue of considering the developer's extension request. Everest Development representatives will be present to make a short presentation and available to answer any questions council may have on the request. Discussion Retrocession Issues The Army Reserve (Lexington & Hwy 96) continues to request police and fire protection from the City of Arden Hills. These services are currently not provided at this location by virtue of the fact that the city is not legally bound to do so on this federal land. It is anticipated that the worksession discussion will try to identify and discuss the advantages and disacjvantages of considering the request from the Army Reserve. .
