Guard Reserve request for Sanitary <br /> Sewer and Water CClIlIleCtions. <br /> On Tuesday, December 20 Brian Fritsinger, Terry Mauer, and myself met <br /> with representatives fran the National Guard ReseJ:Ve to discuss <br /> sanitary sewer and clcmestic water connections to Arden Hills. The <br /> National Guard buildings are located North of Highway 96 and across <br /> the street fran City Hall, Also attending this meeting was Bill Block <br /> of Melchert/Block Associates who are the ca1SUlting engineers hired by <br /> the National Guard to develop plans and specifications for this <br /> project. <br /> . Mr. Block presented staff with a feasibility study which included <br /> plans and specifications which were carpleted in September, 1993. <br /> These plans indicated 110\.1 the National Guard proposed to connect its <br /> facilities to the Arden Hills utilities in the area of Highway 96 and <br /> Harnline Ave. The scope of the project proposed by the National Guard <br /> takes into account only the current needs of the National Guard. The <br /> plans do not take into account any future expansion of the line or <br /> oversizing of the main line. Staff is reviewing the info:mation <br /> presented by Mr, Block with our City Engineer and will prepare a <br /> SllITffi3I)' for the City Council at a later date. <br /> It is anticipated that the National Guard and Mr. Block will introduce <br /> the request to connect to Arden Hills utilities at the January 9, 1995 <br /> Council Meeting. Mr. Block and the National Guard expressed their <br /> desire that this proposal be approved in its entirety on January 9. <br /> nus approval v.K)uld allow the project to proceed according to <br /> schedule. Staff infonred Mr. Block that there are additional items to <br /> be evaluated by the City and a final staff reIX>rt and reccmnendation <br /> was unlikely by January 9. <br /> . <br />
