RAMSEY COUNTY TURNBACK ISSUES <br /> Dear Mr. Fritsinger: <br /> . This letter was prepared to address several issues concerning the referenced subjects. The <br /> CIVIL ENGINEERIN&. first of which is the turnback of Stowe A venue. As noted at Monday night's City Council <br /> ._IRONMENTAL meeting, I met with Mr. Tim Mayasich of Ramsey County Public Works on Tuesday, <br /> NIClPAl March 14, 1995. As a result of that meeting, the enclosed sample resolution is submitted <br /> PlANNING for your consideration. As indicated in the feasibility study for the reconstruction of Stowe <br /> . SOLID WASTE Avenue, Ramsey County has proposed to use Option #2 for the turnback, resulting in the <br /> STRUCTURAL anticipated 100% funding of County eligible funds for that portion of the project. That <br /> SURVEYING amount is estimated at approximately $100,000, but may vary slightly based upon bids <br /> . TRAFFIC received and actual construction costs. More importantly, the project can proceed this <br /> TRANSPORTATION summer as outlined in that report. <br /> I ElECTRICAl/MECHANICAL The second issue is the County's desire to have maintenance and construction responsibility <br /> ENGINEERING: <br /> HVAC for Hamline Avenue from Floral Drive to T.H. 96, and West County Road F from <br /> I POWER DISTRIBUTION Hamline Avenue to Lexington Avenue, turned back to the County from the City of Arden <br /> SCADA Hills. As it has been proposed to seal coat Hamline A venue, we recommend deleting that <br /> SYSTEM CONTROLS portion of the 1995 Street Maintenance project at a potential savings to the City of <br /> I approximatley $22,000 to $25,000. <br /> Finally, upon resolution of these issues, we need to finalize the designation of Municipal <br /> I State Aid Streets for the City by May 1, 1995.
