Highway 96 Arden Hills, MN 55112 I Subject: Trunk Highway 96 Task Force/Concept Report Identification of Issues and Concerns I Dear Mr. Fritzsinger: Ramsey County, in cooperation with the Trunk Highway 96 Task Force, has secured the I planning and engineering services of BRV, Inc. to assist in development and evaluation of roadway improvement alternatives in the Highway 96 corridor. Ve are confident that their experienced project team will help the task force prepare a concept report that I addresses a full range of transportation and community needs. The task force has already identified many issues and concerns for consideration in the study process. To ensure all significant issues are identified and understood the I ~ask force will sponsor a workshop for Council/Board members from the 7 participating communities. The workshop will be held on April 26, 1996, at 4:00 p.m. at the Shoreview Community Center. I The workshop will begin with a brief overview of the task force process/schedule and a summary of issues and concerns previously identified by task force members. The I remainder of the session will provide an opportunity for Council/Board members to identify and articulate new as well as previously identified issues. Consultant staff and task force members will also be on hand to answer any questions you may have. . A second workshop will be held on May 3, 1995, at 7:00 p.m. to share information with the general public. That session will also be at the Shoreview Community Center. ,. The transfer of jurisdiction over TH 96 from state to county along with the collaborative support of participating communities presents an exciting opportunity to develop improvement concepts which balance transportation needs with I community development and social/environmental concerns.
