CITY OF ARDEN HILLS
, MEMORANDUM
, DATE: March 28, 1995
TO: Brian Fritsinger, City Administrator
, FROM:@ Terrance Post, City Accountant
, SUBJECT: Additional Data Regarding Mileage Reimbursement Rate
, At the 3/27/95 Council meeting, Councilmember Hicks requested that item 4a. "Mileage
Reimbursement Rate Increase" be removed from the consent calendar. He further directed staff
, to quantify the impact of this recommendation on the 1995 budget and to obtain comparable
reimbursement rates from neighboring communities.
, 1995 Budget Impact
Mileage reimbursement costs are captured by object code #3310. Of the total $3650.00 in this
.. expense category in the 1995 budget, $2,600.00 (71 %) is planned in various departments ofthe
General Fund.
, 1994 estimated expenses in this category are $3,260.28 (11,242 miles). Assuming the same
mileage and a $.30 reimbursement rate, 1995 expense could be estimated at $3372.60. This
estimate would be a 7.6% positive deviation against the 1995 budget.
, Other Community Milea~e Reimbursement Rates/Mile
.
